Farewell, Campus

Shared on March 18, 2020 via Instagram

So, since day one at CUA, people have known that I’m that girl from Long Island who has never been one to sugar coat things. Senior year getting cut short absolutely f*cking sucks. I threw myself fully into the life I made for myself there, and I fell in love with the people I met, the things I learned, and the friendships I’ve made. I am so, so, SO sad that it had to end like this. However, I am so thankful for all of the opportunities I took advantage of throughout my time here.

And so, here’s to that girl who started college without a clue of what challenges, joys, and sorrows were to come. Here’s to the late nights filled with crying over calculus and engineering homework, #RAnnie on call, a night on the town with friends, school dances, and deep life talks with roommates and friends. Here’s to the early mornings for ultimate frisbee tournaments, SWE workshops, Orientation, Basilica Mass, and DC brunch. Here’s to the countless hours spent in the pryz laughing until I couldn’t breathe with all the people that I have had the privilege to have in my life. Here’s to Pangborn Hall, my consistent home for four years that was filled with support from not only my fellow engineering students, but also the faculty. Here’s to the Class of 2020.

No matter how much I try to write, there are simply not enough words to express not only my sorrow but also my gratitude. When the sun goes down, and the moon comes up, CU WILL SHINE ❤️🖤 #RollCards #Classof2020

I am originally from Long Island, New York. Now, I live and work in D.C. at as an acoustic consultant. I graduated from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. with my bachelors of mechanical engineering in May of 2020. I love living in D.C. because it is smaller than New York City (where I basically grew up), so it was easy to get around. There is always something fun to do all day, every day. I have a few blog posts up about my time at Catholic University, and I plan to write a lot more! If there is one thing that you remember from reading this, it should be that I love spending quality time with friends and family. They are my support system, and I would not be the woman I am today without each and every one of them. Simply put, they mean the world to me. I am also a faithful Catholic and have a passion for music and art. I play the piano, guitar, ukulele, kalimba, and I sing! When I started this blog, I was back in New York due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the shutdown of my campus. My sister and I published a few episodes of our podcast called The Chirp at the beginning of the summer, but when we both started working, it become difficult to manage. I started this blog in August of 2020 because I was looking for a new recreational project that would stick. So, here’s to a new start!
